No matter where I go, I have been seeing this for years and I dont understand why when you order a sandwich in a restaurant, why do some places put a napkin underneath the sandwich? I think it is to look classy, but it serves no function in my mind. It surely is not able to be used as a napkin after the sandwich leaks, oil, dressing or breadcrumbs on it and many times the napkin sticks to the sandwich and becomes more annoying that anything else just to try to get it to not stick. Any one know why they do this?
