No one is looking good as we dig more into the study Facebook ran in 2012 to manipulate 600,000+ users emotions. The academic researchers essentially laundered what they wanted to do through Facebook as Cornell Universitys ethics board said it didnt have to approve what happened at Facebook. And now it turns out there really wasnt anything in Facebooks Data Use Policy that would have made users realize theyd be part of a psychological study for science. Not that anyone reads those policies, but theyre nice for saving a companys booty in court.
