No prizes for guessing why I immediately thought of Ib Ali & his Perkasa (Oh my gosh, that includes Mahathir Mohamad!), Abdullah Zaik & his Isma and the ever ultra-kiasu Ridhuan Tee, not forgetting of course Zul Nordin .... No matter how you slice it after nearly 45 years of affirmative action and still the MALAYS claim to be behind economically, feel threatened, feel taken advantage of and a whole host of other fears, obviously the program is not working for the reasons of misuse, abuse, corruption, political hijacking and manipulation by racist politicians of the NEP or whatever you call it. Imagine a Malay of 40 years today has been spoon-fed for his entire life till now and knows of no other reason to self -improve and learn because all he has to do is call out on his race, religion and UMNO when in trouble and expects to be saved. What kind of a person does that make ? Where is the pride, self -respect and moral dignity ?
