“No servant can serve two masters; for either he will hate the one and love the other, or else he will be loyal to the one and despise the other. You cannot serve God and mammon.” Luke 16:13 Your “master” is the one you love, in whom you put your trust--the one who gives you joy. Does money (rather than God) give you a sense of security and pleasure? Then you are serving mammon. The Bible says to “Seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness,” because money can’t deliver you from a very real Hell. The Bible puts it this way: "Riches profit not in the day of Wrath, but righteousness delivers from death." -Ray Comfort
