No, this isnt a day in history... Rusty Goldman posted a great Bread and Roses poster, and it reminded me of the time I saw the founder of Bread and Roses in concert. Younger sister of Joan Baez, Mimi was passionate about doing something for the isolated; prisoners, persons in nursing homes, hospital patients, and many others. So she founded Bread and Roses to do shows for these people. I saw her in a great concert in the 70s and during it she spoke about Bread and Roses. Supported by so many talented friends, her sister, and others, Bread and Roses has been a ray of light in dark times. Anyone who has ever been shut away from society, friends and relatives, for whatever reason, knows how bleak and lonely life apart can be. Sadly, Mimi died of a form of cancer in 2001, but her legacy lives on. Heres to you Mimi Farina. en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Mimi_Fari%C3%B1a#Selected_discography
