No where in the Torah (first 5 books of the Bible) does Moses or anyone say that the purpose of the Passover lamb ritual was for remitting or forgiving sin. I repeat, NOWHERE. So where did the so-called New Testament get the notion that Jesus was the lamb of God who takes away the sins of the world when the Passover lamb was never designated for the removal of sin? To answer this thoroughly, we must examine other sacrificial rituals that were specifically designated in scripture by The Most High (The Lord) for removal of sin: 1. Sheep terminology. A lamb is a sheep less than 1 year of age. A sheep is over 1 year old. A ram is a male sheep over 1 year of age (unless designated a ram sheep). A ewe is a female sheep. (sheep101.info/sheepandlambs.html) 2. Is there a difference between a sheep and a goat? Yes, they are two entirely different species/genus. Sheep have 54 chromosomes and goats have 60 chromosomes. (sheep101.info/sheepandgoats.html). 3. The Sin Offering (Leviticus, Chapter 4 & 5). As prescribed, this offering was: For the High Priest or the entire community- a young BULL (verses 3, 13, & 14). For a ruler- a young male GOAT (verses 22 & 23). For common folk- a young FEMALE goat or FEMALE LAMB (verses 27 & 28). For poor folk- two TURTLE DOVES or two young PIGEONS (Chapter 5 verse 7). And for really poor folk- unscented fine FLOUR (Chapter 5, verse 11). Since Jesus was supposedly the (male) LAMB of God, this DISQUALIFIES him from symbolically meeting EVERY requirement of the Sin Offering. 4. The Trespass/Guilt Offering (Leviticus 5:15). As prescribed, this offering was a RAM. Since Jesus was supposedly a LAMB, this disqualifies him from symbolically meeting the requirement of the Trespass/Guilt Offering. 5. Yom Kippur/The Day of Atonement. It stands to reason that if he were to symbolically fulfill anything, this would be it since it was the day that the sins of the entire nation were forgiven. As prescribed, the offerings on this day were: 1. A BULL for the High Priest & his family (DISQUALIFIED) and A RAM for a burnt offering (Leviticus 16:3- DISQUALIFIED). 2. A GOAT as a sin offering for the Levites/Priests (Leviticus 16:9- DISQUALIFIED). 3. A GOAT that was to remain ALIVE as a sin offering for the people (Leviticus 16:21 & 22- DISQUALIFIED). 6. And finally, the incident with Abraham and Isaac? That was a RAM that was eventually sacrificed, not a LAMB (Genesis 22:13). So what exactly did the death of Jesus symbolically fulfill? Absolutely nothing! BAAAAAAAAA youtube/watch?v=hV9_p71U7RM
