No words can describe how happy I am to celebrate Stones first birthday today. Exactly one year ago today the most amazing little miracle man came into our life. He has changed everything. Everyday he shows me a piece of what God can do. He is a lot like his sister these days, trying to get all the attention. Hes taken a couple steps...I call him my little 2 stepper. He loves cheese grits and chicken, he loves playing peek a boo (by himself) he wants to pick up everything he sees and use it as either a weapon or instrument. He loves kisses, playing basketball, soccer and football. He has 3 teeth a s several more coming in(which really hurt) He still doesnt crawl but can scoot from 0-30 in 1 second. He laughs when his sister does anything crazy (so basically all the time) and he loves to snuggle. Hes everything a little boy should be and more. He still has procedures coming up but his heart is doing great. I look at him and think about the last year and think about how it has been the fastest and slowest year of my life. I think about the 2 1/2 months that felt like a nightmare or dream and ask myself if they really happened. And I look at Stone and say yes they really did. Things that used to matter in life dont take much precedence now a days. I realize and see Gods hands all around now. Experiences like this will do that. You see things you didnt even know where possible...and know youve just witnessed a miracle. I want to thank everybody for the out pour of love and prayers over the last year. Stones prayer warriors were from all over the world. I want to especially thank Stones surgeon Dr. Scott Bradley and the whole team of doctors and nurses at MUDC. I owe my life to them because they saved my son. Thanks to my amazing family that has been there every step of the way on this incredible journey and to Shane who I could not have made it through without. Stone is 1 and I couldnt be a more proud parent of who he is and all that God has in store for him. Happy Birthday miracle man...light the way!
