Nobles and Ladies: January 26 to February 1, 2014 Tuesday, January 28 – Patriot SC, Murray Lodge, Mineral, VA, 7:30 p.m. Wednesday, January 29 – Retirees Club, Temple Dining Room, 10:30 a.m. Wednesday, January 29 – Knights of Mecca Installation, Temple Dining Room, 6:00 p.m. Upcoming Events Saturday, February 1, 6:00 – 9:00 p.m. – That’s next Saturday, so plan on bringing your family for Kena’s first $7.00 Spaghetti Dinner featuring spaghetti with meat sauce, or without meat, salad, rolls and beverage. The Kena Yacht Club is preparing and serving this meal. To help us know how many are coming, please send the number attending to [email protected]. Saturday, February 8,6:30 to 10:30 p.m. – Plan on honoring your Unit or Club Leader – come to the Kena Unit & Club Leaders Valentine Party in the Kena Ballroom. Tickets are $25 per person, [email protected] or you can pay in the Temple Office. For this modest price you will have a barbeque dinner provided by the Spurmont Masonic Lodge, period music by DJ Ann and a host of prizes. Table prizes will be $150, first prize, $100 second and $50 third prize. In addition, there will be a $100 drawing where the more members of your unit or club attend, the greater your chance of winning. Saturday, February 15, 8:00 to 11:00 p.m. – Dust off your costume or buy a new one for the Kena Mardi Gras Costume Ball in the ballroom. You can come even without a costume. You don’t want to miss the selection of the King and Queen of Mardi Gras or the chicken jambalaya, red beans with rice and Cajun corn bread. Its BYOB with setups or beer or you can purchase wine and the Yacht Club’s famous, or infamous according to some, Hurricanes. Tickets are $25 per person and can be purchased in the Temple Office or you can reserve a ticket on [email protected] . Saturday, March 22, starting at 7:00 p.m. – The Kena Mule Skinners’ present their, Back to the 80’s Dance, with a DJ playing music from the era. Beer and wine plus setups for the BYOB bunch will be provided. The charge is a modest $30 for a full evening of entertainment. Tickets can be purchased in the Kena Office or reservations by [email protected] . Saturday, April 5, starting at 6:30 p.m. – Make your plans now to attend the Kena Potentate’s Ball honoring your Potentate. The theme is “Cherry Blossom Time at Kena” when you can dress up and start your spring season. Music will be by the Mike Sarratt Band and food will be catered by the Velocity 5 Restaurant. Tickets are $50.00 per person and can be obtained in the Temple Office or reservations on [email protected] . Saturday, May 10 – The Yacht Club’s Pirates Ball will be held in the Kena Ballroom. Plan ahead, more information later. Friday, May 23 – Yes, Ladies, this is your night. Your husband and other Kena Nobles will be serving you at our first, Kena Ladies Appreciation Dinner/Dance. We will be having food and big time entertainment just for you.
