Nobody will ever replace the Ramones. Ive heard industry approved commerical acts like Arctic Monkeys and Kasabian in interviews and at award shows claiming they were bringing rock n roll back. Think about that for a minute and then think about Tommy Joey Dee Dee and Johnny - Men who lived and died for rock n roll. Not one of them could even outlive Paul McCartney. Their colors were nailed to the mast since day one. They provided themselves with zero safety net and were scholars of pure rock n roll, good-time music for the disenfranchised generations through which they lived. In order to even be a band they had to turn their back on thier conservative upbringings and be a gang, They never enjoyed the true support of the Industry but were a people band. They provided such a raw and violent personal experience that once seen were never forgotten. The Ramones all died young - Now what?? : - (
