Nokia once employed as many as 8,000 permanent employees and close to 25,000 on contract. With the Microsoft takeover and subsequent shutdown, they are out of jobs. Indeed a sad world because while the entire world hops mad and takes offense to Satya Nadellas misogynist statements about women having to wait for karma in terms of pay hike, it becomes clear that such rabble-rousing statements (that DO have to be condemned) are only a smokescreen to what the corporations are actually doing--depriving workers of a livelihood, sending them home, stealing peoples futures.
