Nominations have been submitted at our 3/19 meeting. The next meeting on 3/26 (next Wednesday) will be our elections as previously announced. If there are any more nominations that people would like to submit, they must be submitted with the nominee present to accept/reject at the next meeting before elections begin. Everyone who attends the meeting (other than the nominees) may vote for the contested positions. Current runners for office in the Fall 2014-Spring 2015 year are as follows. President - Amanda Akran, Johnny Tek Vice President - Ann Marra (currently uncontested) Treasurer - open (Unless contested, the position will be filled by either Amanda Akran or Johnny Tek after the Presidential runoff) Secretary - Jesse Ortiz (currently uncontested) Production Manager - Leighton Thornhill For our official student staged production: We are accepting suggestions for plays and musicals right now. Please submit your suggestions by Tuesday, March 25, 2014. Were getting the ball rolling extra early on this one. It has to be a play that is not going to be running in a professional theatre during the fall semester. Were going to have a default public domain or unpublished play to go to if none of the plays we submit get approved (we have to get rights from the owners and approval from the department). Were having a special guest visit on April 30. Cady Huffman, an accomplished film,tv, and theatre actress, will be coming to QC for an interview and Q&A. More news about Shakespeare in the Circle will be coming soon. If youd like to participate as an actor or director, please reply ASAP.
