Nonprofit organizations in San Joaquin County are invited to participate in a free event: Grant Writing Workshop and Clinic 2:30 to 4:30 p.m. March 14, 2014 University of the Pacific—Vereschagin Alumni House The San Joaquin Grant Assistance Program aims to help local nonprofits secure the funding it takes to maintain and expand successful programs and services. We focus on programs that in some way address literacy, school readiness, health or the prevention of mental illness. Following a brief overview of the program and a workshop on grant-writing fundamentals, this training event will offer hands-on help with grant applications. Please come prepared with a grant application you would like to complete or a funding opportunity you would like to explore. The training is free, but seating is limited and registration is required.
