Noon46 More perspective on Californias Prop 46 from an everyday ER doc: This law requires [physician] review of a statewide prescription database before prescribing controlled substances. ...The thinking being that well stop a few system abusers from getting narcotics to sell on the streets, etc. Ive used said database. One of the poorest user interfaces Ive seen in a website. Layers of password protection and no human back up to get you logged in when your password expires. In summary, its clunky, slow, and inefficient. For every one drug abuser this system might catch, I guarantee it will stop 100 average, honest hardworking people with painful conditions that merit treatment from getting their meds quickly and seamlessly. So, if you want longer wait times and more hassle for yourself and loved ones (should you find yourselves unfortunate enough to need ER care), vote yes on 46. For the rest of you--I urge you to VOTE NO ON 46.
