@Norman Chipakupaku Mwales has clearly stated the political history and the issues of tribalism. One minor correction is Kapwepwes UPP was formed in 1971 two years before the signing of the Choma Declaration. UPP was mainly a Bemba led party with politicians like Justin Chimba who ended up coming back to UNIP and became one of my political mentors in Eastern Province. It is also very clear that tribalism has been used in Zambian politics which has resulted in terms like Kumodzi Kummawa which came out if a very tribal UNIP National Council in 1968. Since then, each tribe tries to supports own. KK tried to stop the cancer but Chiliuba, RBB and Sata made it worse. This is our Jubille year and we need a Jubilee President who should put a stop to this very dangerous cancer.
