Norms Sous Vide Challenge Okay, gang, here is the first true test of our mettle. I have been invited to give a presentation demonstrating the Nomiku (and SV in general), to my Bible Study class on Friday night. This is not a chi-chi crowd, this is a crowd of mostly retired, moderate income, just plain folks, save the one who asked for the presentation. My own little Tupperware party! Their favorite cooking tool is a crock pot, with a smattering of bread machines and Kitchenaids for display only. So, heres the challenge: What foods shall I demonstrate? These people dont cook--they heat. Their refrigerators are full of pre-packaged salads, soups, and entrees. Really. So, I will demonstrate how to heat up a can of Campbells Chowder without getting the Crock Pot dirty. Maybe how to make tapioca without burning the pan, maybe SV mashed potatoes without using the Mixmaster. Any ideas?
