North America on fire in the next 2-3 weeks! This week - TopicsExpress

North America on fire in the next 2-3 weeks! This week temperatures only in the 30s this weekend in the 40s, and continue through next week with highs in the 30s to low 40s and few 50s possible for day highs and night lows in the mid 20s to near 30 degrees.. We do have chance of light rain and briefly light snow on Friday, but no snow accumulation. Models are showing no snow accumulations for the next 2 weeks. White or Brown Christmas? The way it is looking, We may not have a white Christmas. It does has us concern on how much snow will fall this winter. We are not seeing any significant snow fall in the forecast. We do think snowfall will come in near to below normal. 28.5 inches is typical in Muscatine and we could end up below that unless something dramatically changes. It is crazy November was in the top 5 coldest on record and will December go down as one of the mildest? It might, our average temperature is 37. We did set a record of temperatures in 2012 on this day. In Muscatine the temperature was set near 70 degrees! Then we did have a white Christmas that year! The bottom model is showing Christmas Day in 2012. We did have near 5 inches on the ground on that Christmas Day..In the last 10 years Muscatine only had missed 3 white Christmas on the years of 2004,2006.and 2011 So if anyone wants a White Christmas might want to keep your fingers crossed....
