Playing with the aid of the wind it was Bally/Asdee who started the brighter once again Ciaran OConnor provided the finishing touches and they were three to nil by the 5th minute,winning a lot of breaks around midfield they continued to pile on the pressure Eoin OConnor,added a point, Ciaran OConnor with two more Owen Tydings two and Dara Keane one put them nine to nil ahead at twenty minute mark.While St.Senans were attacking at every opportunity they found it difficult to score against the wind and it took them until the 22th minute to open their account a David Behan pointed free.Two minutes later Bally/Asdee moved further ahead a long ball from Owen Tydings was well gathered by Ciaran OConnor who rounded his man and shot low to the net.Both sides swapped points to leave the half time score Ballylongford Asdee 1-11 St.Senans 0-3. Now with the wind to their back St.Senans set about reducing the deficit Colin Browne opened their account in the 4th minute,Cathal Kennelly added a further two by the 14th minute.Meanwhile Ciaran OConnor added a long range point for Bally/Asdee,before Eoin OConnor added their second goal from an acute angle in the 17th minute.Senans were now fighting an uphill battle Cathal Kennelly added three points Eoin OConnell and Conor Kennelly one each.They tried valiantly for a goal but the Bally/Asdee defence held firm.
