Northallerton Town 4 Aaron Ramsbottom hat trick Reaks Esh Winning. 0 Town made 3 changes from the line up last weekend Andy Ramsbottom,Aaron Ramsbottom and Danny Mcclachlan coming into the side. On a miserable cold,windy afternoon,Esh Winning kicked off trying to avenge a hammering in the opening game of the season. Town looked the better side from the off with a lot of neat passing movements only to be spoilt by the final ball being given away. After 6 minutes Holbrook had the ball in the the Esh Winning net only to be deemed offside. Town took a deserved lead after 10 minutes when good work by Bowman fell to Aaron Ramsbottom who placed his shot perfectly passed Caris in the opponents goal. Within minutes Ramsbottom scored his second when a Owen free kick ,was not cleared by The Esh defence and again it was slotted home . After 25 minutes finally had a shot when Addison had a shot from outside the box only to see Calvert in town goal punch clear. Esh Winning came more into the game in the last ten minutes of the first half but did not trouble the town defence. Half time Town 2 Esh Winning 0 Town made an enforced change at half time Newall replacing Butterworth who had not fully recovered from a rib injury sustained in last weeks game. Town were in total control with good passing movements only spoilt by final ball. After 55 minutes Damon Reaks replaced Danny Mcclachlan Town could have finished the game of in the 70 minute after good work down the right by Muir , Holbrook shot wide. Town did finish the the game off in the 70 minute when Aaron Ramsbottom completed a great Hat.trick his first for the town ,in a good move involving Muir and Holbrook Minutes later could ave scored when Phillipson weaved through the town defence only to see his shot go narrowly wide. The next 15 minutes was very scrappy with needless bookings by the referee. Town continued to dominate when substitute Darville a replacement for Aaron Ramsbottom gifted Reaks with a simple header to complete the scoring. This was a disciplined display by town,who never looked in any trouble against a moderate Esh Winning side Overall an excellent team display,with the defence solid led by James Bowman who did not put a foot wrong Total control of midfield, and star man Aaron Ramsbottom up front Well done lads Next Saturday Town visit Willington.
