Northern Lights showing from Sango Sands Campsite, Durness at 22:30 on 12.12.14. At this time they were at Kp4.33 with a slight southerly Bz. They were showing on and off from about 1930 until about 23:45 when it clouded over and started to snow. Numerous Gemini meteors during the evening too, including a spectacular fireball at about 21:15. This image was taken using a Canon EOS70D with a Sigma 15-30mm EXDG lens, tripod mounted. TV mode,ISO3200,30sec exposure giving f22. It was bloody baltic cold and a strong northerly wind. The main show was to the northwest of Durness with nothing to the northeast.
