Northern Nigeria has changed, insecurity should have been a thing of the past if community policing was maintaned, the way we do it in the past. People do come to villages, town and cities nobody knows them and no record of people entering town or going out of it. In addressing the present insecurity, we have to be proactive, you cannot have security agents killing people extra-judicial for an issue that can be handled maturely. We have never had it so bad, Zakzaky may have exercise restrain and maturity in handling the Friday incident, but that cannot be said of some of his followers, even though, the Imamate is more strong with the shia than the sunnis. They may not disobey his call for restrain, but security agencies need more education, what we have today as military and police unfortunately is reflection of a failed system, people accidentally finding themselves in positions they arent qualified for. We are sitting on a timed bomb, may Allah see us through.
