Northern Weather Thursday 22nd January Wintry showers will continue with an Arctic maritime flow, though will reverting back towards the weekend with a Polar maritime flow. Low pressure will decline from the NE as a secondary low will reside across Iceland in a slack pressure over the UK. The far NE will see a cloudy start through the morning with some sunny spells by midday, then cloud increases by the afternoon and into the evening as light showers develop turning wintry with snow. A foggy start over Oldham and surrounding areas which will be slow to clear during the morning with some sunshine once the fog has cleared. Early evening sees cloud begin to increase as light snow showers develop later, whilst further North of the NW will stay cloudier by day with limited sunshine through the afternoon, cloud increasing slowly as light snow showers move in from the West. Temps 2-3C by day and by night -1/0C. Wind ESE light to moderate
