Weather Situation A ridge along the Queensland coast directs an easterly flow across the Top End. Dry, moderate easterly winds will mix down from aloft inland during the afternoon, causing Fire Dangers to become Severe. For the rest of Wednesday 29 October: Severe Fire Danger in the following fire forecast areas: Darwin and Adelaide River and Arnhem West For Thursday 30 October: Severe Fire Danger is forecast for the following fire forecast area: Darwin and Adelaide River Bushfires NT advises that fires will be very difficult to control, unpredictable, fast moving and very dangerous. Measures to ensure survival should be the primary consideration. Bushfires NT advises you to: Action your Bushfire Survival Plan now. Monitor the fire and weather situation through your local radio station, securent.nt.gov.au, and bom.gov.au. Call 000 (Triple Zero) in an emergency.
