Not a big Jim Carrey fan - but I have to recognize something good when I see or hear it. For some odd reason a number of years ago, I watched a biography of George Clooney. He wanted to become an actor. His family, including his famous aunt, Rosemary, tried to dissuade him, acting being such a difficult business to crack. They urged him to find something practical he could fall back on. He had the wisdom at a young age to know that there would be hard, trying times, times when he could easily fall back. He said something like if you can fall back, you will. So its the ultimate courage to jump into the abyss of the unknown, to follow your bliss as Professor Joseph Campbell said. But, on the other hand, every well planned mission has several contingency strategies - witness the killing of Osama bin Laden. Always have at least one alternative and exit strategy. I dont know which is right. If they are compatible, I would welcome an explanation.
