Not even 9 and a half weeks now!! 9 and 16 miles tomorrow morning from Superquinn/Supervalu. The mileage is really getting up there now. Youll be just 5 and 10 miles short of your respective race distance after tomorrow. This is where it gets serious, its within your reach now and you just have to keep focused for another 9 weeks. Dont make any radical changes. What youre doing so far is working well if youre anywhere between 6 and 9 miles for the half or 12 and 16 for the full. If youre eyeing up the quarter marathon distance (6.55miles) you could still conceivably just start training now and manage it respectably (by which I mean without the addition of oxygen!) Do it. .. today.
