Not impressed with Groupon NZ!! Having extensively used Groupon in the United States over the past few years, and been regularly blown away by their consistently prompt, efficient and friendly customer service. I’m overwhelmingly disappointed with my first experience of Groupon NZ. Responses to the questions I sent to customer ‘care’ were often bizarre, focussing on minor aspects of the query whilst ignoring the main issues entirely. My emails had either not been read properly, or were not understood, or perhaps the responses were deliberately obtuse – in the hope that I’d give up and go away. Despite the relatively good grammar and spelling, it was almost as if the emails were written by someone with limited comprehension of the English language. The final sign-off, which thanked me for my understanding, when I was obviously still most disgruntled - was just red rag to a bull. And I can only assume this was the intention. Groupon obviously have no intention of attending to my real, valid, query and just want me to go away.
