Not interested. Voters in Columbus said no to a school bond issue on Tuesdays ballot. The preliminary figures from the USD 493 election had 72 percent of voters saying no, with 28 percent approving the bond issue. The $30 million bond issue would have built a new school for grades one through eight, renovated the high school, Park School and football stadium. Voter turnout in Columbus was nearly 60 percent.
