Not just for dogs! This is, in part, how we got our cat, Fritz, back after missing for 6 months. Long story short, a wonderful woman two miles away called and said she saw our missing cat. She got close enough once to remove his collar with the Vets phone # on his rabies tag, from whom she got his name and our contact info. I brought Fritzs crate filled with his favorite toys, treats & food, along with a couple of our unwashed t-shirts to keep on her porch. The rescuer called me when he returned a couple of days later and was there by his crate and the t-shirts when we rushed over to get him. He was in pretty bad shape, but is back to his former healthy self 1-1/2 years later.
