Not many people know this but about 9 years ago, I was at my brothers house using their tanning bed when Sarah Beth decided to try and use the treadmill next to the tanning bed. (she was 6 at the time). It started going too fast and she fell, but she was trapped between the treadmill and the wall and couldnt get off. I heard her screaming and flew out of the tanning bed (practically naked of course) and instead of turning off the treadmill like a normal person would do, I decided to try and lift her off the treadmill, but I lost my balance and fell onto the treadmill as well, burning and skidding my bare skin in some terribly awkward places. I managed to push Sarah Beth off and then myself, but Sarah still had terrible burns on her little hands so I told her to get her Dad. David took her to the hospital for treatment, while I tenderly tried to put my clothes back on and meet them there. At the hospital, David said the nurses gave him a very unbelieving look when he told them Sarah burned her hands on a treadmill. But, then I came hobbling in with the same burns on my elbow, hips and stomach, etc.. They put two and two together and believed him. However, when I walked into the hospital, I was fully prepared to explain to those women nurses that I was NOT jogging naked on a treadmill...Im just thankful there was no video footage of my incident for the internet to enjoy!
