Not much fun being a Phillies fan these days. Some recent quotes re: the team. The Phillies have the worst record in the National League. No first-round picks made by the Phillies since 2002 (Cole Hamels) currently play for the major league and nobody saw Brandon Moss more in 2011 than the Phillies, nobody had more of an opportunity to sense that he was on the verge of becoming the player the Red Sox and Pirates always hoped hed become, and yet nobody saw it, and when the Phillies decided they needed a left-handed power bat to replace the ailing Gload, they did not think enough of Moss to make him that bat, and they went outside the organization and orchestrated a trade for John Bowker, who today isnt even worth Googling to find out if he is still playing in Korea. And then regarding the wretched Hunter Pence trade & Domingo Santana :In other words, the Phils would rather have us know that they needlessly threw in a legitimate prospect as a player to be named later rather than someone made a bumbling clerical error. I have no reason to believe it isnt the truth, because frankly, this makes the Phillies look even worse, in my eyes. These are dark days indeed. Not much cause for hope for the Next few years either. RAJ its time for you to go.
