Not only do we not live in the greatest country in the world but our leaders, our police, our money makers and our good people should be ashamed. If the government doesnt work its our fault for not looking out for each other. And here are police slashing the only shelter of the homeless who have nowhere else to go. Where did people forget up from down? Good from bad? Right from wrong? How does any good intentioned group come to finding the weakest of us and taking what little they have away from them? Why cant any of these cops look at themselves and see their own cruelty? Why doesnt someone speak up and allow the owners of these homes what little respect they can gather in life? How can people that think of themselves as good, believe in acting so heartlessly and ignoring their own carelessness for what they must think is the greater good? This is why capitalism doesnt work. Because when something is owned its controlled by the will of the owner, even at the detriment of others. And when everything is owned, theres nothing left for the people who cant buy it. The people who own the space will take that space, EVEN if that space is just sitting there not being used. I wonder what kind of property damage the people whos job it is to protect and serve are committing. I wonder wholl pay for the lawyers wholl fight for the people living in them to be reimbursed. In a country where ones worth is judged by his or her capital and he or she cant sell themselves, human lives are worthless. Theyre just a stain on clothes of the rich, who demand their clothes get clean.
