Not really sure about this Ice Bucket Challenge Am I the only person who finds it strange the Lue Lou Gehrig caught a disease named after him? I have never met anyone with ALS. So why ALS? Why not any of 1000 good charities where you could have a direct impact? Like buying school supplies for a kid who mom is a drug addict? The kid had nothing to do with his or her mom. And here is the really messed up part! You give money to the ALS foundation and they turn around and fund research and if they find something that works on ALS like a drug, the company who finds the drug will ask for a patent and then make millions of dollars on a drug you help pay for! But dont hold your breath because the disease is so rare no drug company will ever take the research because even if they found a cure there is not enough people to buy it to make a profit! That is why the hospitals run out of tetanus shots because it is so cheap their is no profit in making it so they dont. They would rather make Viagra!!
