Not sure if you will recall a post about 2 weeks ago where we were asked for community volunteers to help clean up an area and rid it of hundreds of tires that had been dumped there as it was believed to be illegal and also possibly causing an issue as some of the drinking water was thought to pass there. The young man who started the project was Alekz Londos after he was given clearance to do so by local agencies. Some of My Scotts Valley friends helped with the cleanup and after some time they were told to stop taking out the old tires, much to everyones surprise and disappointment. Not sure if the matter has been resolved, but we could be talking about an issue that can cause issues to drinking water for some communities.
