Not that I am a fan of his but good old Bob Geldof had seen it right when, back in the golden Seventies, he wrote the song I don’t like Mondays. Although the lyrics of the song have nothing to do with my Sunday evening blues, as they actually involve a shooting and grim stuff like that, I cannot help but thinking of Geldof singing in my ear every time I think a new week is about to start. Trying to analyse the situation from a critical point of view, I’d have no reason to carry the old Sunday blues along in my student life, so how come I still cannot avoid feeling low and melancholic starting from the moment I open my eyes on a Sunday morning? Maybe it entered my system, like the chicken pox virus that never leaves you once you get it, maybe I am condemned to always think the week lying ahead will be packed just like it used to be when I had a job briefly after my long vacation...
