Not that I will be giving my PPS number etc but I think it is some what distracting from the main issue which is that they want us to pay for water! Do not pay and do not give them details. Whether to fill in forms or whether its legal or not to demand PPS numbers and whatnot is just a distraction from the real issue here. Kevin is right. It doesnt matter one iota if Irish Water could demand your details by threat or even steal your first born legally. What really matters here is the question of paying. Are you willing to pay when the time comes or are you not? You can protest all you want until you are blue in the face. You can try search for some legal loophole that will somehow exempt you from receiving a bill all you want. You can send back IWs application packs all you want. You can even defy having to provide your PPS numbers based on privacy reasons but the truth is, the only effective method that will work if enough people choose to do it is to NOT PAY...
