Not that you should be getting home defense info from the Today Show, but let me give my opinion on two items. 1. Hornet spray is for ....HORNETS. Dont spray people or any animal with hornet spray. If you need a non lethal weapon, get a can of pepper spray. Using hornet spray just opens you up for a lawsuit if you have to use it. 2. You should sleep with your bedroom doors closed. The show says that keeping them open will let you get your kids and get to one place during a home invasion, but a fire in the home is much more likely than a home invasion. Fire Departments recommend that you sleep with your bedroom doors closed to provide better protection from fire and smoke. I did like the car alarm idea.
