Not to be a jerk, and it may just be my lack of understanding of the event, but why in the hell is the city spending $600,000 on the Magic City Classic anyway? Its a football championship. If the Iron Bowl was in Birmingham I highly doubt the city would be willing to fork over the money for that expense. Wed be reminded, yet again (because a 10% tax isnt enough), that the city is in debt due to a sewer crisis (screw up).
