Not too long ago, a radical Islamic Imam from the UK clashed with Sean Hannity on his show. Anjem Choudary felt no compunction in threatening Hannity that he would soon see Sharia Law imposed upon America and other western countries. Choudary made no bones about how women and gays would be treated under Sharia, saying they must be punished. He also defended the use of terrorism by radical Islamic groups, saying it was no different than the terror wrought upon Muslims by the American military. Anjem Choudary has made his inflammatory statements under the assumption that he was protected under British law, and permitted to say anything he wanted to, including making jokes about the 9/11 attacks, as well as the London bus bombings. But the BBC is reporting now that Choudary has been arrested in a anti-terrorism sweep through London. An anti-terror task force has arrested nine men, including Choudary, who are suspected of being involved with a banned Islamic organization. Choudary was the former head of the Islamist group al-Muhajiroun, a group that was banned in 2010.
