Save The Great South Bay was just was made a member of the Citizens Advisory Committee for this largely inactive council. Save the estuaries, save the bay. If the Carlls Forge, and Connequot Rivers are polluted, a polluted bay is the consequence. As a member of the committee, STGSB will help to promote awareness of the South Shore Estuary Reserve. Our first step will be to map it for people so that they see where the ponds, creeks, streams and rivers are right in their own neighborhoods. From there its a short step towards caring for them. Kohler demonstrates his ignorance of nitrogen pollution, and of storm dynamics, but hes right to call the state out for abandoning our estuaries. We are just going to have to take up the slack.
