Note to Members: There has been quite a bit of discussion about critiques and editing other peoples photos lately. I will be revising the Group Guidelines document on the Files tab later today to reflect the following change: From: 5. Be constructive, helpful, and kind. If you critique a post, remember that many of our members are beginners and may be discouraged by overly technical or harsh comments. This is NOT a hard-core, technical group but a place for people to share their photos without fear of intimidation. Never put anyone down for sharing their work. Keep any criticism constructive. To: 5. Comments and Critiques - Be constructive, helpful, and kind. Do not critique a posted image or offer suggestions for improvement if the owner has not requested such in the photo description (e.g.: CC Please, CC OK, etc.). Positive comments are fine. This is NOT a hard-core, technical, critique-oriented group. We want our members to share their photos without fear of intimidation. Do not put anyone down for sharing their work and keep critiques constructive. 6. Do NOT edit and re-post other peoples photos. Do not under any circumstances download, edit, and re-post a members original photo. If the image owner has requested critiques and your suggestion(s) might be better communicated with a edited image than with text, obtain permission to download and edit the image from the owner in PM (Chat) and manage all interactions using that modality.
