Note to self: It is not a good idea to place a speaker phone (like a blu Ant S4) on the palm rest of any laptop. Before I realized what caused it I did it to 2 laptops within one phone call. (since the first one died). It erased and destroyed the hard drive in each laptop. I didnt give a second thought to the strong magnet on the back of the speaker phone... dumb... really dumb... It was just a bad day. 10 minutes later I knocked my tablet on to the floor and broke the glass on the front.. .... bad day.. So due to the high cost of repair and restoration of all the software and data, ie...out of sheer necessity, I have become a windows 8.1. , windows7 and blackberry repair tech. Who knew?
