***Notes from the road…is back!*** Queen Extravaganza UK, Europe and Scandinavia 2014 Part One After our last action-packed trip out to Hong Kong with Queen Extravaganza we gathered again in early May at the seaside of Bournemouth in England for the Production Rehearsals for this current tour. It was great to get all the familiar faces back together again, Marc, Brandon, Tyler and Francois-Olivier. New guitarist Nick Radcliffe who was brought up just a few miles away in Lymington again joined us. We have also welcomed back our Stage Manager Nick Ohl from Alabama, USA and Ross Anderson, our Monitor Engineer. New for this tour are James Adkins as our Catalyst and Video Engineer who has just finished a tour with Sarah Brightman, Barney Watson as keyboard / drum tech, ex Rolling Stones and Killers to name but a few, Oz Bagnall as our Front of House Engineer who has recently worked with KT Tunstall, Ellie Goulding and Bryan Ferry. Matt Arthur joins us as our Lighting Director hav-ing worked with UB40, Chemical Brothers and Keane. I also have been joined by Elisa Martinis as my Tour Assistant. We are proud to have managed to bring together such talent, both on and off stage to make this Rock show work! Our Production Rehearsals were held at the beautiful o2 Academy in Bo-scombe, Bournemouth, where we were joined by Juliette Slater the Tour Di-rector of Queen and Queen Extravaganza along with Spike Edney, Queen’s keyboard player and master of all matters musically for Queen Extravaganza. After three long days the show was honed into its’ new format. There are many changes to the musical content with Marc taking on many of Jennifer’s previous vocals and different harmonies because of the new line up. Saturday came and the band played a great show for the folks of Bourne-mouth, which went down so well. We loaded out and got on our way, as our next stop was Antwerp in Belgium. Our Tour Bus went via the Channel Tun-nel and we were in Belgium for breakfast - amazing! We played to a sold out Stadsschouwburg, an all seated venue, which we haven’t done since North America and then overnight to Tilburg in Holland. Tilburg was back to an all-standing audience and the Dutch fans were wild! I’ve had the absolute pleasure of working with Queen Extravaganza since January 2013 and I can state, without question, this is very best Marc Martel I have ever seen. His talent grows with every tour and every show and he cap-tures the audience with increasing intensity. We are now in Germany and have five shows here, Cologne, Hamburg, Mu-nich, Frankfurt & Berlin. Be back with more notes when we hit Austria! Paul QUEX Tour https://twitter/paulcbond facebook/paulchristopherbond Tickets: queenextravaganza
