Nothing beats waking up at 06.30 in the morning by a Phoebe dog - TopicsExpress

Nothing beats waking up at 06.30 in the morning by a Phoebe dog that is convinced she hears something. I told her to stop a few times, but nope, she was sure she could hear something, so i went on the balcony to check. There it was, the sad howling of a dog, barking, howling, barking, howling. Ugh. I put my boots on and went outside. As it was still dark, i took a light with me. I looked around, could hear the dog, yet did not see it. Had to wait till it was a bit more light. Around 0.700 my man left, and i went out again to listen if i could still hear this poor baby. I did. I checked the hill opposite from my house, but could not see anything at my side, so i decided to drive around and have a look from the highway, which is 1 level higher than where i live. Also there i could not see it.... So i went home again. Checked if i could still hear it. I did. So i decided to climb up the hill to see if it was hiding higher, where i could not see it from below. Off i went, with my camera as a weapon, a lead, and some treats. Higher and higher. Slipping, getting myself together again, reaching the highest point of that level. Could hear it, yet still not see it.... I checked on the level that was after the highway. I saw the usual goats.... And then.... wait... that is a pretty damn fast goat.... Nope, it is not a goat. There it was, the barking, howling dog. Now chasing the goats, at such a high level, i was scared to witness a fall from such a high mountain..... Mission impossible to get there... Now the almost mission impossible.... to get down. First i sat down a bit, enjoying the view, but that did not last long, as i found out THIS was the hiding place of all the mozzies in of the world. They had a nice meeting all there. With one hand, i killed 6 at once, that were sucking the lifejuice out of me! So i arrived save down again and i waited if the barking and howling would stop, and i checked if i did still see it. I have not seen it anymore after like 10.00, and also i do not see the goats anymore, so i think it was a dog on duty..... I took some pics to get an idea of how high i climbed and how high the doggy was doing his job.... Was my act crazy?? Maybe you call it that... I call it devotion. (the pic with the circles, the blue circle are the goats, the red is the dog)
