Nothing can prepare you to hear your 3 yr old daughter tell you that daddy touched her girly bits really hard. To watch them show you what he did to them and to feel sick in seconds.. To look into their eyes as they tell you that he touched her inside while she was laying in her bed and told her that it might hurt... Can you prepare yourself for such a moment... and for the fall out. The days of anxiety wondering if it is true or a mis understanding. Waiting for the police to call. Wanting to ask more questions but not wanting to worry her. Knowing she needs to be examined but waiting for the right people to do it. Waiting for the police and social services to take you seriously and get things moving... The confusion and anger. Swinging from feeling numb to wild panic.... Nothing can prepare you for that day... And I hope to God you never ever find out
