Nothing is better for my self-esteem than a trip to the dentist. The ladies in the office are so sweet, treating me like a celebrity, wanting to know when Im heading to Hollywood, and addressing my list of meager accomplishments in entertainment with a quiet (and completely unjustified) sense of awe. Yesterday, when asked about my current project, I told them that I wrote and am appearing in a weird (my go-to buzzword) adaptation of the novel, Oliver Twist. When pressed further with, Oh, what do you play?--I responded with, Well, I play a...you see, I...that is to say...SO, how bout that root canal?
