Notice to INIS Customers re: Possible fraud INIS wishes to remind our customers to be vigilant against fraudulent activity currently being targeted at some applicants. INIS understands that some of our customers have been contacted by telephone by a person(s) purporting to be from INIS demanding that they must pay a fine or be arrested. This is an attempted fraud. Fees for various services charged by INIS are published on the INIS website and payable to INIS as part of the application process. Other than the published list of fess, no other fees are charged. Customers should note that INIS has no legal authority to demand the payment of a fine or threaten the arrest of an individual. Do not give details of your immigration application to telephone callers unless you are sure who they are. If someone demands payment of a fine, contact INIS and the Garda Síochána.
