Nov. 19, 2014 The Parable of the Ten Gold Coins- Jesus was now near Jerusalem & the people...thought that Gods reign was about to appear... So Jesus told them a parable. He said: A man of noble birth went to a distant country in order to be crowned king, after which he planned to return home...he summoned 10 of his servants & gave them 10 gold coins and said: Put this money to work until i get back. But his compatriots, who disliked him, sent a delegation after him w/this message: We do not want this man to be our king. He returned, however, appointed as king. He asked for a reckoning. One servant gained 10 gold coins..., & the king said: Well done good & faithful servant... I can trust you to take charge of 10 cities. The 2nd gained 5 gold coins & was likewise praised & given 5 cities to take charge. The 3rd gained nothing... The king said: You worthless servant...! As for my enemies,..., bring them in & execute them right here in front of me! When the King Jesus comes again in glory, are you prepared to welcome Him? Have you used the given resources to the least of your brethren? Ponder and resolve to do what is right, just, and w/mercy, all for Gods glory!
