November 11 One of the chapters that I refer to very often - TopicsExpress

November 11 One of the chapters that I refer to very often in my Sunday morning messages to the congregation is Revelation chapter seven, which every Christian should be pretty familiar with. By the power of the Holy Spirit, John, the writer of Revelation, is allowed to look beyond the grave and view a vision of the redeemed in heaven, as the text says “The thousands upon thousands which no man can number that are gathered in worship around the throne of the Lamb of God.” The question is asked, “Who are all these and where did they come from.” The text also indicates that this multitude of people came from every language and every nation. The answer is given, “These are they which came out of the great tribulation and have washed their robes and made them white in the blood of the Lamb.” You will notice the only ones there are those who accept the atoning, redeeming act of God on the cross of Calvary for the forgiveness of sin and the promise of eternal life, and put their faith and trust in Jesus Christ, their Lord and Savior. There is no one else there, no one standing around telling us, “It’s not so important what you believe as long as you believe something,” or “We are all going to the same place, we just have different ways of getting there.” The only ones among the redeemed of the Lord and gathered around the throne of the Lamb of God are those who have washed their robes and made them white in the blood of the Lamb. Prayer: Lord, You have promised “He that endures unto the end will be saved.” Keep me steadfast in Your word.
