November 12, 2013 Holy Spirit and Prayer “But the Counselor, the Holy Spirit, whom the Father will send in my name, will teach you all things and will remind you of everything I have said to you” John 14:26 People tell me all the time they’re struggling with prayer. If you’re struggling in your prayer time, remember that the Holy Spirit is there with you. You need to listen and receive what the Spirit is teaching you. If you’re praying for something outside of God’s will for your life, you aren’t going to see the answers you want. If you want to know if you’re praying in God’s will, you need to consult His Word and the Holy Spirit. He has given us over 1,000 pages of His will. Thank God for the blessed Holy Spirit who reveals the Word to our hearts, to our spirits, to our minds, and gives us exactly what we need to live every day in victory. If you find yourself struggling as you enter the throne room of the Most High, remind yourself that the Holy Spirit is with you, guiding you as you pray. Trust Him and allow Him to fill you as you pray. The Lord knows what is best for you and He knows your heart. Go to Him in prayer openly and honestly. We receive power when the Holy Spirit comes upon us (Acts 1:8). With your faith and the Holy Spirit’s power, your prayer life will be transformed.
