This is exactly the reason I jumped up and down warning the press to be careful confirming every single assertion made by or about ISIS by the government -- in spite of heavy attack; under our Constitution the military DOES NOT HAVE THE POWER to decide war and peace without Congressional authorization -- let alone essentially to conspire on a global level, without any input from the electorate, about invading and attacking nations. With other partner nations presumably planning without input from their OWN electorate. If this model is established why involve the electorate ni global decisionmaking about issues intimately affecting them - ever again? I keep warning -- nationstates and democracies are a drag on War INc and the other five top industries that want to turn the whole world into China (that is, great context for business, no rights, no democracy).
