November 15, 1975 - 39 Years Ago Today: David Ruffin performed Walk Away From Love on American Bandstand. This was Ruffins 2nd Top Ten when it peaked at No. 9 on January 24, 1976. The single went to No. 1 on the Billboard R&B chart where it spent a single week at the top. Ruffin was the former co-lead singer of the Temptations from 1963-1968. He was the brother of R&B singer Jimmy Ruffin. Sadly, David Ruffin died of a drug overdose on June 1, 1991 at the age of 50.
